I don't read a lot of science fiction but I devoured Population. The author couldn't have described it better when she called it "a science fiction/post-apocalyptic, gorey, romantic adventure-fest." This is a great book that will leave you wanting more.

New take on post-apocalypse

Situated somewhere between Hunger Games and Twilight, Stephens' "Population" soars as a result of meticulous character development and eerie atmosphere. In an exciting roller coaster ride, this new young author swiftly switches pace from action to romance (and vice versa) and explores social themes like class and oppression in young adult language. The first novel in this genre to include a multi-ethnic female main character.

Loved this fresh new novelist!

Finished this book in two days, if you are a fan of the Hunger Games series or Divergent, I would defiantly recommend this book. Elizabeth's first novel is well written and imaginative - with a well crafted new world and the twists and turns the main character leads you on.
Not to give anything away, but the ending will definitely leave you wanting more!
